Our mission

Med Romania is the reference platform on medical admissions in Romania. We give European applicants verifiable official data, free tools that genuinely move their application forward, and human support — for those who want it, at a price and scope stated up front.

We started from a simple observation: the Romanian admissions market is occupied by opaque intermediary agencies dressed up as information sites. Their content exists to capture traffic and convert it into a phone call — not to inform. Their testimonials are anonymous, sometimes invented. Their prices are sometimes partly hidden.

We chose a different route: radical transparency, verifiable proof, and free tools first.

The three pillars of Med Romania

1. Radical transparency

Every figure we publish is sourced and dated. Every link points to the official Romanian source: university admitere pages, ministerial orders, publications in the Monitorul Oficial.

Our procedure pages carry a “Verified on DD/MM/YYYY — source: [UMF X, admitere 2026]” banner. We maintain a public changelog per university: when a timetable changes, when a required document is modified, you see it immediately.

Why? Because most competing sites publish application pages that have been out of date for years without dating them. An applicant who trusts one of those files an incomplete application and loses a whole admission round.

We believe trust isn’t declared — it’s documented.

2. Verifiable proof

We have published an evidence charter that holds us accountable:

  • No anonymous testimonial appears on this site. Every student account carries a first name, a university, a graduating year, and whenever the student agrees, a face and a link to their public profile (LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Every year we publish our real admission statistics: applications filed, admissions won, rate per university, rate by number of applications filed — including the failures. Commercially that’s counter-intuitive, but it’s the strongest possible trust signal in a market where social proof is invented on a massive scale.
  • We publicly document our testimonial verification process on a dedicated page. You know exactly how we check that each account is genuine.

3. Free tools first

Before paying for anything, every applicant is free to use:

  • Our eligibility quiz — 2 minutes, 8 questions, a personalised verdict with recommended universities.
  • Our six-year budget simulator — tuition, housing, day-to-day living, exportable as a PDF.
  • Our dynamic application checklist — the exact list of documents, tickable, by university and by year.
  • Our practice MCQ bank — biology and chemistry, 20 free questions, with worked answers.

These tools do two jobs: they help you concretely, for free, and they show you the quality of our work before you commit to anything. If they let you apply on your own, we consider our mission accomplished. If you’d like support, you’ll know exactly what you’re buying.

The team

Med Romania is run by a team of university admissions professionals, sworn translators registered with the Romanian Ministry of Justice, and legal partners. We work with current and former international students at the Romanian UMFs, who contribute to our guides, run our interview preparation sessions, and share their real experience.

What sets us apart: we don’t claim to be something we’re not. We are not a law firm — but we work with a named Romanian legal partner who can legalise your documents and represent you if needed. We are not a university — but we publish their official data, with sources.

Our transparency commitment

We hold ourselves to five rules:

  1. Public, exhaustive pricing. No hidden line items. The price you see is the price you pay.

  2. Named partners. Our sworn translator and our Romanian legal counsel are publicly identified.

  3. Annual statistics. Every year we publish our admission rate, successes and failures included.

  4. Verifiable testimonials. Every account is attached to a real, identifiable person.

  5. A documented verification process. We explain publicly how we check our data and our testimonials — so you can verify it yourself.

What we don’t do

For the sake of clarity, here is what Med Romania does not do:

  • We don’t claim to guarantee admission. The final decision belongs to the university’s admission board. We guarantee your application will be accepted as valid (complete and compliant), not that you will be admitted.
  • We don’t invent testimonials. Every account you read comes from a real person who agreed to be quoted.
  • We don’t hide our prices. Every price is public, tax included.
  • We don’t overcharge for translations. Our prices include a standard volume of sworn translation, at the translator’s cost price.
  • We don’t promise you it’s easy. Studying medicine in Romania is demanding: the preparatory language year is intense, medical Romanian in year three is a genuine challenge, and first-year failure is a real thing. We tell you that before you commit.

A final word

Capped access to medical school is a problem of supply, not of ability. Every year, thousands of school leavers perfectly capable of becoming excellent doctors are filtered out by a selection process that doesn’t measure their potential.

Studying medicine in Romania is a strategy, not a consolation prize. It’s a choice that lets you start now, inside a recognised European framework, with a degree that opens the same doors as any other in the Union.
